The services of the MBEC include the following:

Marketing: e.g. market research, promotion, public relations plans, sales and advertising plans, sales forecasting, feasibility studies, pricing, procurement assistance, new product launch, customer service strategies, brochure design, capability statements, e-commerce and general counseling.

Financial and Accounting: e.g. capital budgeting,

pro-forma financials, break-even analysis, cost accounting, financial planning and analysis, budgeting, tax planning, loan and investment packaging, franchise development assistance and general counseling. The MBEC does not provide bookkeeping, preparation of financial statements for existing businesses, income tax preparation and filing, and auditing services. A list of state-approved certified public accountants is maintained for client referral purposes.

Manufacturing: e.g. plant location and site selection, total quality management, metrication for world markets, production plans, and general counseling.

Construction and Procurement Assistance: e.g. estimating, bid preparation, bonding, take-offs, site visits, plan room with construction plans and specs, online bid opportunities research, public/private sector procurement marketing, identification of minority sub-contractors, and general counseling. Clients have the option to register to receive local, regional and national bid announcements in their respective product or service categories, via the MBDA online Phoenix Opportunity Program.

International Trade Assistance: e.g. assistance with exporting, letters of credit, bank drafts, dealerships, distributorships, export trading companies, joint ventures, freight forwarding and general counseling.

Administration: e.g. office management procedures and systems, purchasing and inventory control, metric system awareness and general counseling.

Human Resources Management: e.g. job evaluations and rating systems, policies and procedures manuals, training and general counseling.

General Management: e.g. organizational development, formulating corporate policies, incorporations, needs assessments, reports and controls, staff scheduling plans, business plan preparation assistance and general counseling. MBEC does not provide legal services. A list of Florida-Bar-approved legal resources is maintained for client referral purposes.
